Is Alexa+ free with Amazon Prime?
Short answer
Yes. Amazon says Prime members get unlimited Alexa+ as part of their membership, for the whole household on Echo devices, Alexa.com and the Alexa app. Without Prime it costs $19.99 a month. There's also a free tier without Prime, but only on Alexa.com and in the Alexa app, not on Echo speakers, and with usage limits Amazon hasn't spelled out.
Which products can do it?
- Amazon Alexa+Yes
Prime members get unlimited Alexa+ as part of their membership, across Alexa-enabled devices, Alexa.com and the Alexa app; non-members pay $19.99/month.
Good to know: US. The free tier for non-members is limited and works only on Alexa.com and in the Alexa app. Upgrading an Echo is voluntary.
Why it matters
Alexa+ is a new AI version of a free assistant, so Echo owners want to know whether they now have to pay for it.

How we know (2 sources)
Alexa+ left early access and opened to everyone in the US (re-read Oct 28, 2026): included with Prime, $19.99/month otherwise, plus a free tier that Amazon says has the paid tier's features but with usage limits it wouldn't quantify, and only on Alexa.com and in the Alexa app, not on Echo speakers. Works on Echo devices up to eight generations old, Fire TV and Fire tablets; upgrading is voluntary.

People without Prime can try a free chat version at Alexa.com and in the Alexa app. Controls several smart home devices from one sentence; voice ID and visual ID on Echo Show 8, 10, 15 and 21 let Alexa+ recognize individual family members and deliver reminders meant for them.
