Can Claude add events to your Google Calendar?

Short answer

Yes. With the Google Calendar connector, Claude can create, update and delete events, set up recurring meetings, find a time that works for all attendees and accept or decline invitations. Outlook calendars work too through the Microsoft 365 connector, but only for work accounts and only if an admin enables the write tools.

Which products can do it?

  • Anthropic ClaudeYes

Through the Microsoft 365 connector, Claude can create, update and delete Outlook calendar events when an admin enables write tools.

Good to know: Work Microsoft 365 accounts only; personal Outlook.com accounts aren't supported.

Why it matters

Scheduling means switching between email, chat and the calendar; people want to say "book an hour with Sam next week" and have it done.

Not proven yet

Apple Calendar (iCloud): the Anthropic pages we read don't cover it. Whether Claude asks for approval before calendar changes; the help page names approvals only for email and Drive actions.

"Connect to Microsoft 365" help article (read Nov 1, 2026): available on all Claude plans, but only for work Microsoft 365 accounts; personal @outlook.com, @hotmail.com and @live.com accounts aren't supported, and a Microsoft Entra Global Administrator must grant one-time consent. Claude can search and read Outlook email, calendar, OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams. Write tools only work if an admin enables them: drafting, sending and organizing email (sent mail carries a header marking it as agent-initiated, and attachments aren't supported), creating, updating and deleting calendar events, and creating files.
