Can Meta Ray-Ban Display play videos or YouTube?
Short answer
Short videos, yes; YouTube, not that we can find. Since a March 2026 update, Meta Ray-Ban Display opens Instagram to a Reels feed you scroll, like and share with finger gestures on the Neural Band. Meta's release notes also add WhatsApp group video calls. They don't mention a YouTube app or other video apps. Display-free glasses such as Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 2) have no screen for video at all.
Which products can do it?
- Meta Ray-Ban DisplayYes
Meta Ray-Ban Display can play Instagram Reels in the lens: the Instagram app opens to a Reels feed you scroll, like, save and share with Neural Band gestures.
Good to know: Added in update v23, week of March 4, 2026. Meta's release notes mention no YouTube app. From $799 with the Neural Band.
Why it matters
A screen in your glasses sounds like a private video player, so buyers want to know what they can actually watch on it.
Not proven yet
Whether YouTube or longer videos will come to the glasses; Meta hasn't announced it. How comfortable watching is on the small in-lens display; we haven't found a test.
