Can a robot mower be stolen, and can you track it?
Short answer
Some fight back. Husqvarna's Automower 410 iQ has an anti-theft alarm, a PIN code and GPS tracking if it's taken; Segway's Navimow alerts you when it's lifted or leaves its zone and can be tracked by GPS with an add-on 4G module. Mammotion's and Ecovacs' pages we read don't list anti-theft features.
Which robots can do it?

- Segway NavimowYes
Segway says the Navimow i Series has a safety lock for the start button, a lifted alarm, an out-of-boundary alarm and real-time GPS tracking.
Good to know: Out-of-boundary alerts and GPS tracking need the separate Navimow Access+ 4G module. European site.
- Segway Navimow X3Yes
Segway lists four security features for the Navimow X3, including outside-of-boundary alarms and lift alerts, plus GPS tracking in the Navimow app.
Good to know: Maker's description, European site.
Why it matters
A robot mower sits alone in an open yard for hours, so buyers want to know what stops someone from walking off with a $2,000 machine.

Read the sourceNavimow i Series product page (European site, read Oct 22, 2026): RTK plus vision navigation without wires or antenna, for lawns of 500–800 m². Climbs slopes up to 30%. VisionFence uses a 140° fisheye camera and AI to tell grass from obstacles such as pets, furniture and garden tools. Re-read Oct 24, 2026: "Intelligent Weather Responsiveness" watches real-time weather forecasts and, on significant weather changes, pauses mowing and returns to the dock to protect the lawn from wet grass. Network RTK over cellular data is included at no extra cost (coverage depends on postcode); extended connectivity such as live location tracking needs the separate Navimow Access+ 4G module. Security: an app-activated safety lock disables the start button, a lifted alarm notifies you when the mower is picked up or moved, an out-of-boundary alarm warns when it leaves its zones, and real-time GPS tracking (out-of-boundary alerts and tracking need the Access+ 4G module).
Read the sourceNavimow X3 Series page (European site, read Oct 25, 2026): Segway says the X3 handles slopes of up to 50%. Visual sensing detects and avoids pets, children, garden decorations and outdoor furniture. Four security features, including outside-of-boundary alarms and lift alerts, and GPS tracking to find the mower in the Navimow app.
