Can a robot mower spot pets and toys on the lawn?

Short answer

Newer camera-equipped mowers say they can: Mammotion, Segway and Ecovacs use cameras and AI to steer around pets and objects. None of this has been independently tested in our sources.

Why it matters

A mower that bumps into a toy, a hose or a pet is the main reason owners won't let it run while kids and animals are outside.
