Does a robot vacuum work with Alexa, Google or Siri?
Short answer
Most new ones do. Roborock, Dreame and Eufy list Alexa, Google Home and Siri on the product pages for the robots we track. For Apple's Home app you need Matter: the Saros 20, Saros 10R and Dreame X50 Ultra list it, while the Saros Z70 is still waiting for an update.
Which robots can do it?
- Dreame L40 UltraYes
Dreame says the L40 Ultra supports Alexa, Siri and the Google Assistant, to start, pause or run tasks such as mapping rooms or avoiding zones by voice.
Good to know: Maker's US page. You need a device with that assistant, and Siri requires the Dreamehome app. The page doesn't mention Matter.
- Eufy Omni S2 ProYes
Eufy says the Omni S2 Pro takes voice commands and supports Siri, Alexa and Google Home.
Good to know: Maker's US page; it doesn't say which commands work and doesn't mention Matter.
- Roborock Saros 10RYes
Roborock lists voice commands for the Saros 10R through Amazon Alexa, Apple Siri Shortcuts or Google Home, plus Matter support.
Good to know: Maker's US page. Siri works through Shortcuts here. In Apple's Home app a Matter vacuum gets basic controls such as start, stop, mode and dock.
- Roborock Saros 20Yes
Roborock lists the Saros 20 as compatible with Alexa, Siri and Google Home, and as Matter supported.
Good to know: Maker's US page, no details on which commands work. Matter is what lets a robot vacuum join Apple's Home app (iOS 18.4 and later, per 9to5Mac), with basic controls only; maps stay in Roborock's app.
- Roborock Saros Z70Yes
Roborock lists voice commands for the Saros Z70 through Amazon Alexa, Apple Siri or Google Home.
Good to know: Matter, and with it Apple's Home app, is only promised for the Z70 in an upcoming update; the page gives no date.
- Dreame X50 UltraYes
Dreame lists the X50 Ultra with Matter support and with Alexa, Google Home and Siri.
Good to know: Dreame's Australian page; we haven't found a US page that says the same. You need a device with that assistant.
Why it matters
If your home already runs on Alexa, Google Home or Apple Home, a robot you can only start from its own app is one more app to open, and it can't join your routines.
Not proven yet
Which voice commands each assistant actually supports per model, and whether Eufy's Omni S2 Pro will get Matter; its page doesn't mention it. iRobot's Roomba Max 705 page only says it connects to "your home assistants" without naming them, so we haven't listed it. The Apple Home details come from 9to5Mac's report on the iOS 18.4 beta; Apple's own Matter help page (read Nov 5, 2026) doesn't list robot vacuums.
How we know (7 sources)
Benjamin Mayo's report on the first iOS 18.4 beta (read Nov 5, 2026): Apple's Home app added support for robot vacuums and mops that use Matter. In the Home app you can start and stop cleaning, turn the mop on or off, pick a preset mode such as Quick or Deep Clean and send the robot to its dock; it works with Siri and in automations and scenes. Room maps and custom routes still need the maker's app. At the time only the SwitchBot S10 was compatible; other makers had promised Matter updates.
Read the sourceUS Saros Z70 page (read Oct 23, 2026): foldable five-axis arm that moves obstacles and lifts items up to 300 g (object recognition via updates; objects must be defined in the app). 22,000 Pa suction, dual anti-tangle system on main and side brush (Roborock cites a 0% hair-tangling rate in its own testing), mops that detach automatically before vacuum-only and carpet cleaning, and 108 recognizable obstacle types. Re-read Nov 3, 2026: lists crossing of double-layer thresholds up to 4 cm (2-4 cm thresholds in its checklist; results may vary with the environment), a chassis that lifts up to 10 mm and mops that lift up to 22 mm when the chassis rises. Mid-to-high-pile carpet settings must be switched on in the app. Re-read Nov 5, 2026: voice commands via Amazon Alexa, Apple Siri or Google Home; Matter support is marked as coming to the Saros Z70 in an upcoming over-the-air update, so it isn't there yet.
Read the sourceUS Dreame L40 Ultra page (read Oct 24, 2026): $799.99. Mop lifting height 10.5 mm (0.4 in), and it lifts or removes the mops to keep carpets dry; crosses obstacles up to 0.86 in (22 mm), per Dreame's lab. 11,000 Pa suction; works with Alexa, Siri and Google Home. An anti-tangle TriCut brush is sold separately. Re-read Oct 25, 2026: the base station cleans the mop and washboard with hot water of up to 149°F (65°C), per Dreame Lab at about 73°F room temperature, and dries the mops with hot air. Re-read Nov 5, 2026: a footnote says the robot supports Alexa, Siri and the Google Assistant, that this needs a device with that voice service, and that Siri requires the Dreamehome app; by voice you can start, pause, or run tasks such as mapping rooms or avoiding zones.
Read the sourceDreame Australia's X50 Ultra page, read Oct 27, 2026: built-in LED lights help the robot spot obstacles early and switch on in dim conditions, such as rainy days, at night and in low, dark spots. It maps with a DToF sensor and avoids obstacles with an AI camera and 3D structured light for small items like cables and socks. Listed at AU$2,999. Re-read Nov 5, 2026: 'Matter Protocol Supported', plus Alexa, Google Home and Siri; a footnote says the voice services need a device with that voice technology. This is Dreame's Australian page.
Read the sourceUS Saros 20 page (read Oct 25, 2026): the RockDock washes the mop pads with water heated up to 212°F (100°C) and cleans itself with hot water, then dries the mops and dock with 131°F (55°C) warm air. Roborock says the 212°F figure comes from its own testing at standard atmospheric pressure, and actual temperatures vary with conditions such as altitude. The mops detach for vacuum-only or carpet-first runs. Re-read Nov 5, 2026: under Third-Party Control, 'Matter Supported' and 'Also compatible with Alexa, Siri, and Google Home'; no footnote on either.
Read the sourceUS product page for the eufy Robot Vacuum Omni S2 Pro, read Nov 3, 2026: $1,699.99 with Add to Cart, and a note that new orders are expected to ship around November 5. Its comparison with the Omni S2 lists: peak suction up from 30,000 to 40,000 Pa; dock mop washing with water up to 100°C instead of 60°C; added 55°C hot-water mopping and UV-C floor disinfection; obstacle recognition for 360+ object types instead of 200+, processed on the robot; two-tier thresholds up to 2.76 in instead of 1.65 in, single-tier up to 1.38 in; it climbs onto carpets up to 1.38 in thick, less than the Omni S2's 1.97 in. The roller mop lifts 0.59 in when carpet is detected. No battery runtime is given. Re-read Nov 5, 2026: a 'Smart Cleaning at Your Command' section says you control cleaning by voice and that it supports Siri, Alexa and Google Home. The page names no Matter support.
Read the sourceUS Saros 10R page (read Oct 24, 2026): AdaptiLift chassis crosses thresholds up to 1.57 inches (about 4 cm), including double-layer thresholds. Roborock says, based on its own testing, the mops lift up to 22 mm when the chassis is lifted. Dual anti-tangle system with a DuoDivide main brush that Roborock says ensures a 0% hair tangling rate. StarSight 2.0 navigation and VertiBeam lateral obstacle avoidance. Re-read Oct 27, 2026: obstacle recognition pairs 3D ToF sensing with an RGB camera and is labeled 'Precise at Night'; Roborock notes recognition accuracy may vary with the environment. Re-read Oct 25, 2026: the dock washes the mops with 176°F (80°C) hot water and cleans itself with hot water, then dries the mops with 131°F (55°C) warm air; Roborock says the temperatures come from its own testing at room temperature. Re-read Nov 5, 2026: lists voice commands via Amazon Alexa, Apple Siri Shortcuts or Google Home, and Matter support for controlling the robot alongside other compatible devices.
