Can a pool robot park itself so you don't fish it out?

Short answer

Some can. Beatbot's AquaSense 2 and Sora 70 float to the surface or the edge when they're done; Aiper's Scuba X1 needs a retrieval hook or a separate add-on.

  • Aiper Scuba X1Yes

Good to know: AOL's tester found it heavy to retrieve and put the add-on at about $500.

  • Beatbot Sora 70Yes

The Sora 70 floats to the pool edge when it's done; Bob Vila's testers saw it park at the edge for pickup.

    Good to know: Premium-priced.

Why it matters

Wet pool robots are heavy, and hauling one up from the deep end is the chore owners complain about most.
