Does a smart ring work with an iPhone?
Short answer
Some do. Oura and the RingConn Gen 2 Air have iPhone apps and send data to Apple Health. Samsung's Galaxy Ring doesn't: it needs an Android phone, and its Galaxy Wearable app isn't available on iOS.
Which products can do it?
- RingConn Gen 2 AirYes
RingConn says the Gen 2 Air works with iOS 17 or later, and its app added two-way sync with Apple Health in version 3.12.0 (November 2025).
Good to know: Maker's description; RingConn doesn't list which data types sync. No subscription.
- Oura Ring 5Yes
Oura's app runs on iPhones with iOS 16 or later, and Oura can send sleep, steps, heart rate and workouts to Apple Health, where workouts count toward the Move and Exercise rings.
Good to know: Maker's support pages. On Gen3 and newer rings, the Apple Health link needs an active membership ($5.99/month).
Why it matters
A ring costs hundreds of dollars and is useless without its phone app, so iPhone owners need to know before they buy, and whether their data ends up in Apple Health.
