Laundry eats my evenings
The chore everyone wants a robot for. Here's how close it really is.
Can a home robot fold laundry?
Only in demos. Figure showed a humanoid folding towels on its own, and 1X lists laundry for NEO, but with a remote human guiding it.

Nothing you can buy for this yet.
Coming or still in demos
- Figure AI Figure 03Only in demos
Figure published a demo of its humanoid folding towels autonomously.
Why it's hard: Folding mixed real-world garments without help, at home, at a usable speed.
Can a robot load the washing machine?
In a company video, yes. Figure 03 loads a washer and presses its buttons, but it isn't for sale.

Figure 03's launch video shows it loading a washing machine and pressing its buttons.
Why it's hard: Whether this works outside a staged demo, and when any consumer can buy it.
