I don't want to pay monthly for my doorbell
Some doorbells save nothing without a plan. Here's which ones record for free, and what the others charge.
Can a video doorbell save video without a subscription?
Yes. Doorbells like the Eufy E340 record to built-in storage with no monthly fee. Ring doorbells only show live video unless you pay for a plan.

- Eufy Video Doorbell E340
The E340 records to 8GB of built-in storage, or to a Eufy HomeBase, with no subscription.

Nothing announced beyond what's in stores.
Why it's hard: How long built-in storage lasts at a busy front door; it depends on how much the camera records.
Can a doorbell camera recognize faces and packages?
Yes. The Eufy E340 recognizes familiar faces on the device and watches packages with a second camera; Apple's LG doorbell promises the same from December 2026.
